Grace M2: I'm basically just your average teenager.. I have a passion for writing and actually work for our town's local paper. I'm working on a book at the moment called "Beneath the Ashes." It's about a girl battling an eating disorder.I'm not sure when it will be finished - probably a long time from now since I am so busy. Anyway, if you want to get to know me better, keep on reading. Can I Have This Dance?

The first time I saw you,
I knew the story of love was true.
I had to hold on tight,
Grasp, embrace, fight.
Fight if need be,
To get you with me.
Time slowly flows,
As my love for you grows.
Many years have passed,
Who knew this feeling would last.
Each touch, each glance,
I’m fighting for just one chance
Can I have this dance?
Now, after all that’s passed,
I realize this was supposed to last.
I’ve waited and soon will find
Why you’ve been on my mind.
I watch as you fall in love,
She’s perfect while I’m just a broken dove.
My heart has been torn,
My wing broken and worn.
I guess I waited too long,
Sitting around, allowing myself to do wrong.
All these painful occurrences I’ve endured,
Could have been avoided with you but that chance was severed.
I just want to belong to you-
Forever, simple, pure, true.
Me and you.
Just you and me,
Living the life I want to be.
It was my mistake to wait,
Now I know that I was too late.
I just hope to get that one last chance,
Can I just have this one dance?
Wrap your arms around me,
Pull me closer with each step and just let it be.
Let it happen how it’s meant,
This is how I want my time spent.
Just with you.
I promise my love for you is true.
Wrap your hands in mine,
Like lace – so divine.
Let the music be our guide,
Hold me and we’ll glide.
With your hands wrapped around my waist,
And my hands in yours, encased.
Let this happen
And watch the sparkle in my eyes glisten.
Just give me a chance.
